I’m 35, Still a V+rgin and Proud — Woman Who’s Never Dated Says She Refuses to Rush Love or Settle

In a time when modern dating can feel overwhelming, a 35-year-old woman is standing firm in her decision not to rush intimacy, or lose her vi+rginity just to fit in.

Lauren Harkins says she has never had a boyfriend, been intimate, or even gone on a date, but insists she feels no pressure to change her timeline. The content creator proudly describes herself as a “late bloomer” and believes adult virginity is far more common than people think.

“It doesn’t need to be framed as ‘late’, people should move when they’re ready. Everyone’s on their own timeline,” Harkins told creatorzine.com.

She added that sharing her experience publicly has empowered her, saying, “I see being set apart as a strength.”

Harkins acknowledged that stigma around adult vi+rginity still exists, noting that society often links it to being fragile or socially awkward. However, she believes many people quietly share the same experience.

“Based on the volume of comments and messages I receive, it’s clear there are far more people in that position than most would expect,” she said.

Contrary to assumptions, Harkins isn’t waiting for marriage or acting out of religious beliefs. Instead, she enjoys challenging stereotypes about what a v+rgin “should” look or act like. She revealed that critics often accuse her of lying or seeking attention, but she says the negativity no longer bothers her.

Despite never dating, Harkins remains hopeful about finding love someday, but only when it feels right. “I don’t feel the need to force anything; I’d rather wait for the relationship, and the man, that feels genuinely meant for me,” she said.
