Miss Eunice Ameh, a serving NYSC member and lawyer, has been declared missing after she reportedly disappeared while returning home from work in Abuja.
Family sources said Ameh recently started working as a Sales Manager at Blades and Butchers Ltd. in Maitama and had resumed barely two weeks ago.
“She is the Sales Manager for the company and she just started two weeks ago. She was meant to partake in her last Community Development Service (CDS) as a corps member yesterday (Thursday) and would pass out soon afterwards,” a family source said.
She was last seen around 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, after leaving the office towards the Life Camp area, where she resides.
“She was on her way home, after leaving the office and going towards the junction leading to Life Camp,” the source added.
Concern grew after all attempts to reach her failed, as her mobile phones remained switched off.
“Around 11 a.m. on Thursday, one of her friends alerted the family that Eunice had not returned from work the previous evening, and repeated attempts to reach her had been unsuccessful,” the source disclosed.
The case has been reported to the Maitama Police Division and NYSC authorities. Family members described the situation as traumatic, while security agencies continue efforts to trace her whereabouts.
“The family is distraught and in panic while they are hanging on to hopes of a police investigation getting her whereabouts,” the source said.
