Don’t Follow a Divorced Woman as a Friend, Teach Her to Reconcile With Her Husband or Remarry — Pastor Peace Ibiyeomie

During a special Mother’s Day service at Salvation Ministries, Pastor Peace Ibiyeomie, the wife of Pastor David Ibiyeomie, shared her thoughts on marriage, friendship, and moral values among women.

She cautioned against close friendships with divorced women, especially when such relationships may influence one’s mindset about marriage. She said, “Don’t follow a divorced woman as your friend, even if she’s your sister. Teach her to either reconcile with her husband or remarry.”

She also warned that some people who discourage others from valuing men or marriage often behave differently in private. She noted, “They will tell you men are not important, but still go behind and do otherwise. There’s something you people need to stop, just because your marriage is broken doesn’t mean you should break other people’s marriages.”

In her message, she further emphasised personal responsibility in preserving marriages, stating that a broken marriage should not become an excuse to interfere in or destroy another person’s relationship.

She strongly condemned the act of husband-snatching, saying, “And cause your marriage is broken doesn’t men you will go and break someone’s else’s marriage. And for every woman that has taken someone’s else’s husband, you are c¥rsed from today…”
