Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has harvested another round of vegetables from the State House garden, reaffirming her call for Nigerians to embrace home gardening as a way to improve food security.
Displaying fresh produce, including spinach, waterleaf, and fluted pumpkin, she said maintaining a home garden is an affordable way to enjoy healthy meals while also contributing to environmental sustainability.
The First Lady added that home gardening can help address climate change and encouraged Nigerians to cultivate the habit of giving by sharing with others, as she distributed part of the harvest to members of her staff.
