Peter Obi has addressed questions about whether he is a billionaire, clarifying that he is a billionaire in naira but not in dollars.
When asked if he is a billionaire, Obi explained that billionaires are calculated in dollars.
“You know they calculate billionaire in dollars. In naira, yes I am in naira but not in dollars,” he said.
He further explained that dollars is the standard used to measure billionaires but maintained that he has billionaire status when his wealth is measured in naira.
“You know dollars is what they use to measure. Dollars is what they use to measure billionaire, it’s always in dollars but in naira, yes I am. Capital yes,” Obi added.
