Content creator and streamer Carter Efe has challenged Nigerian singer Wizkid to a boxing match, insisting he would defeat the music star if they faced each other in the ring.
Speaking on Yanga 89.9 FM, Carter said he is willing to fight Wizkid without receiving any payment, joking that organisers could even pay Wizkid $1 million to take part in the bout.
“I’d like to fight Wizkid in a boxing match. They should not even give me any money. They can even pay Wizkid $1 million that he should come fight with me. They should not give me a single kobo; instead, they should sew a cloth for me and let me go there to fight him,” he said.
Reacting to being asked if he truly wanted to fight a “national treasure,” Carter questioned saying;
“Me, am I not a national treasure too? If I even stay longer in the game, my treasure would be more than Wizkid’s own,” he said.
Addressing his fallout with Wizkid and the claim that he used the singer’s name to gain fame, Carter said both of them benefited from their collaboration.
“Did he also not blow? We shared glory. I dropped the song and it entered number one and he couldn’t even acknowledge me. As he didn’t acknowledge me, that’s why I don’t acknowledge him anymore,” Carter said.
He further expressed confidence in his chances of winning the proposed fight, citing Wizkid’s alleged marijuana use as part of his reason.
“Let them just bring him to the ring. Let us fight and I know I will win because he smokes weed,” he added.
