FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has dismissed claims that opposition parties could force the All Progressives Congress (APC) into a runoff in the 2027 presidential election, insisting that Peter Obi’s political momentum has faded and cannot repeat his 2023 performance in 2027.
Speaking on News Central, Wike declared that the so-called “Obi kererenke” movement no longer exists, saying, “All these so called ‘Obi kererenke’ it does not exist again, I have k+lled it.”
When told he was underrating the opposition parties and that they could force the APC into a runoff, Wike questioned the possibility, saying, “Run where? What is run off, with who?!”
He argued that Nigerians had already given former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and his running mate Amaechi an opportunity to lead but believed they failed to deliver.
“Nigerians knows atiku have been giving an opportunity but he did not do anything, Nigerians know that the former governor (Amaechi) of rivers state looted our state,” he said.
Wike also dismissed Obi’s political appeal, accusing the former Anambra governor of turning politics into an offer and describing him as a dramatist.
“Nigerians know that obi has turn it into offer, he is a dramatist. Nigerians know obi has nothing to offer. Obi wave is even d+ad and buried,” he added.
