52-Year-Old British Woman Alleges Sexual Assault by Parasail Operacator in Tunisia

A UK woman claims she was s+xually a+saulted while parasailing during a holiday in Tunisia. Michelle Wilson, 52, recounted the dist¥rbing incident that took place off the coast of Sousse, where she was strapped into a harness with a parasail operator.

“He was pulling at the back of my bikini bottoms, tugging the strap,” Ms. Wilson told The New York Post. “It seemed like he was adjusting the harness to pull me closer.”

Ms. Wilson had planned to parasail alongside a friend, but staff informed them that due to windy conditions, they would need to go separately, each accompanied by an operator. Her friend’s ride went smoothly without incident.

Describing the operator as a man in his twenties, Ms. Wilson said, “His legs were wrapped around me. One hand was on the parachute, but the other was free. Then I felt him touching my leg.”

She added, “He was gr%ping me, pressing himself against me, and speaking in Arabic. I kept trying to lean forward to get away. I felt vi%lated, sc@red, and disg¥sted.”

Back on the ground, a shaken Ms. Wilson immediately reported the incident to local authorities. “You might expect some light-hearted comments from men in places like this, but this wasn’t that—it was s+xual a+sault,” she stated.

Ms. Wilson was vacationing with her 17-year-old daughter, her friend, and her 16-year-old twin sons on a trip costing approximately $8,000. She believes the operator has been detained. British officials and her insurance provider are supporting the investigation, and EasyJet, the travel company through which she booked the trip, is looking into the matter.
The ordeal has left Ms. Wilson’s holiday in ruins.
