The United States has announced that anyone found guilty of visa fr@ud, such as presenting fake documents will face a lifetime ban from entering the country.
This was disclosed on Monday by the U.S. Mission in Nigeria via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle. The statement emphasized the U.S. government’s renewed commitment to tackling immigration-related fr@ud and strengthening the integrity of its visa process.
According to the mission, “U.S. government interagency efforts combat fr@ud and will end illegal immigration. Those who commit visa fraud will be banned from the United States for life.”
The new policy means that individuals who present forged bank statements, fake academic records, fra¥dulent invitation letters, or any other falsified documents during their visa application process risk being permanently denied entry into the U.S.
