Living in Lagos Is More Expensive Than Los Angeles, U.S. — Singer BNXN
Nigerian singer Buju BNXN has sparked reactions on social media after claiming that living in Lagos is more expensive than living in Los Angeles, United States.
The music star, formerly known as Buju, shared his thoughts while speaking about his experience since arriving in the U.S.
According to BNXN, one major difference is the absence of the constant financial demands often experienced back home.
“I was telling someone, since I got to the United States, I haven’t seen one egbon adugbo asking me to press money,” he said.
He went on to compare the cost of living in both cities, arguing that Lagos places a heavier financial burden on residents.
“Lagos is too expensive abeg. Lagos is more expensive than LA (Los Angeles).”
The singer added that housing is the only major expense he has noticed in Los Angeles.
“The only thing expensive in LA is housing. Here you just pay your rent and you’re good.”
