British miniskirt pioneer, Mary Quant, passes on at 93

British designer Mary Quant, also known as the mother of miniskirt, whose fashion styles and trademark impacted the youthful revolution of the 60s d#ed on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at age 93.

She d#ed in her Surrey home in Southern England, her family announced.

Quant, who opened her first boutique, Bazaar, in 1955 with her business partner Alexander Plunket Greene, who later married her and di£d in 1990, raised hemlines well above the knee, creating short dresses and skirts with simple shapes and strong colours that she described as “arrogant, aggr£ssive and sexy”.
