Borno State Universal Education Board, SUBEB, Dr Shettima Kullima conveyed the promotion on Saturday after his recommendation was approved by Governor Zulum.

He wrote:

“Yesterday, as early as 6:30 in the morning, I paid an unscheduled visit to Shehu Sanda Kyarimi II Primary School to see how we can improve the infrastructure therein and I met teacher, Mrs. Obiagelli Mazi, an Igbo Christian from Abia State who served for 31 years in the Borno state. Minimum wage:

“Although it was very early, I met none of the teachers and their pupils on the ground but only her.

“Her gender, tribe, religion or state of origin does not surprise me but her passion, enthusiasm, dedication, commitment and above all patriotism do surprise me a lot.

“As a Government, we are mightily proud of her! Meanwhile, OsmekNews had reported that even though his state is troubled, Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno is performing wonders, a faction of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said.

Chairman of the faction in the state, Usman Badeiri, said his party was happy with the governor and was impressed with his performance within the short period he had stayed in government.

Baderi specifically said the governor had made serious marks in the area of security and development of the state.

Daily Trust reports that the factional opposition party chairman gave his assessment of Zulum’s government and performance in a statement.

He, however, doused any insinuation that may occur from his positive assessment of the government by saying that he and those he leads are not planning to move over to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said his faction of the PDP simply decided to do away with party politics and sentiments to state what he considers the right position of the state under Zulum, whom he said merits such honour.

Baderi noted that it was surprising that the governor had achieved the feat just within eight months of taking over the saddle of the state.

“It took us 8 months to come to terms with what we consider an obligatory need for us to speak about the kind of Governor Borno is very lucky to have.
