Protesters storm Police headquarters in Oyo over escaped suspected serial killer

Following police announcement on Sunday, that a suspected serial killer, Sunday Shodipe, has escaped from prison in Ibadan, Oyo State, many protesters today, August 19, 2020, stormed the state police headquarters to demand justice.

Sunday, who was arrested in connection with the ritual killings of people at Akinyele Local Council of the state, escaped from police custody on Tuesday, August 11, according to a statement signed by the State Commissioner of Police, Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu.

Recall that Sunday was arrested and paraded along with two others on July 17, 2020.
