A shocking case of br¥tality has emerged from Oba community in Idemili South LGA of Anambra State, where operatives of the Operation Udo Ga-Achi (Agunechemba Vigilante Group) reportedly as+aulted members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on July 23, 2025.
Eyewitness accounts and dist¥rbing video footage show the corps members being h@rassed, accused of internet fr@ud, and subjected to degr@ding treatment despite presenting their NYSC identification cards and wearing their uniforms.
One of the victims, Jennifer Edema Elohor, s¥ffered the worst ordeal—be@ten to stupor, str+pped n@ked, and left bl++died and exposed while onlookers hurled deme@ning and s+xu@lly ab¥sive words at her. Other corps members were also physically as+aulted, str+pped, and thre@tened with s+x¥al vi%lence.
The parents and legal representatives of the victims have since petitioned the Haven360 Foundation, a human rights advocacy group, which has pledged full support in the pursuit of justice. “This is a clear case of human rights vi%lation. We will ensure the perpetrators are held accountable,” the foundation said in a statement.
The incident has sparked outrage nationwide, with many Nigerians demanding immediate action from both the Anambra State Government and the National Youth Service Corps Directorate to protect corps members serving across the country.
As of press time, neither the vigilante group nor state authorities have issued an official response to the allegations.
