Court Adjourns Nasir El Rufai’s Bail Application to March 31st, No Bail Granted

Proceedings at the Federal High Court have been postponed in the case involving former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, with his bail application now rescheduled for March 31.

During the latest session, El-Rufai was formally brought before the Federal High Court on just one count out of a total of ten allegations. The charge centers on financial transactions involving a domiciliary account and the conversion of earnings. He is facing the charge alongside a co-defendant, Joel Adoga.

The arraignment moved forward even though other related applications before the same judge are still pending, with decisions on those matters deferred to the next hearing date.

No request for bail was made, and none was granted at this stage. The issue will instead be addressed when the case resumes at the end of the month.
