Panic in Kogi Community as Terr%rists Abd¥ct Mother and Child In Fresh Att@ck

Suspected terr%rists on Wednesday evening invaded the Ijalu area of Egbe in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, abd¥cting a woman and her toddler in an att@ck that has left residents gripped by fear.

The victims were identified as Mrs. Idowu Kemi Titilayo and her young child, who were reportedly taken away by the armed assa*lants during the raid along the Solid Rock School axis of the community.

According to community sources, the att@ckers stormed the area at dusk, firing sporadically and causing panic among residents, many of whom fled for safety.

A resident who spoke anonymously for security reasons said the g£nmen operated unhindered for several minutes before escaping with the victims.

“The terr%rists came suddenly and everybody started running. They were heavily armed and people could not confront them. They abd¥cted Mrs. Kemi and her little child and disappeared into the surrounding area before help could come,” the source said.

Residents expressed concern over the growing frequency of att@cks in the area, warning that the worsening security situation has left many living in constant fear.

“This incident has created serious tension in the community. People are afraid because these att@cks are becoming too frequent. We are appealing to security agencies to act quickly and rescue the woman and her child,” another source said.

The latest abd£ction comes amid continued concerns over kidn@ppings and vi%lent att&cks in parts of Nigeria’s North-Central region.
