In the video posted by Osun journalist Isaac Haastrup, the 25-year-old man identified as Ebenezer is seen begging for mercy, citing hunger as the reason for his actions.
However, the owner of the farm, Chief Ajibade Gbenga, refused to let him go and insisted he drank the substance.
Fortunately, Ebenezer survived the ordeal after being rushed to a hospital. His father, however, d!ed of shock after some people misinformed him that his son had d!ed of poisoning after being caught stealing two ears of corn.
The landlord on the other hand, has been arrested.
The spokesperson of the command, Abiodun Ojelabi, who confirmed the arrest in a statement on Thursday, August 7, said investigation had commenced into the matter.
